В феврале месяце этого года прошли несколько значимых молодежных хоккейных турниров. На фоне победы сборной России U17 на турнире 4-х наций (U17 4-Nations International Tournament) в подмосковной Балашихе (8-10 февраля 2011 года) - полное фиаско нашей сборной U18 на турнире 5-ти наций в Чехии (9-13 февраля 2011 года): Ноль очков в итоге, поражение с крупным счетом в третьей игре со сборной США 4:10...
Максим, как ты считаешь, в чем причина?
- Хочу поздравить сборную России U17 с успехом на этом турнире. Что касается сборной U18, то на мой взгляд ребята просто были не готовы к этому турниру. В этом и причина поражения.
- По итогам турнира в Чехии молодежная сборная США заняла первое место - ни одного проигрыша, все победы в основное время...
- У сборной США очень сильная команда - все игроки играют в профессиональных юниорских лигах. У них отличные условия для тренировок, и большая конкуренция - на одно место в команде претендуют 30 человек... Поэтому каждый из них бьется и доказывает, что именно он должен быть в составе, ну и конечно же огромное желание выиграть и воля к победе.
- Максим, а были ли в составе молодежной сборной России U18 ребята, выступающие за клубы Северной Америки и Канады?
- Нет, не было. Все ребята играют в России.
- На твой взгляд, что ждет ребят из нынешней сборной U17 на турнирах следующего года?
- Если ребята будут нацелены на победу, будут биться до последнего, то все будет хорошо!..
